Oh my gosh, I did that also. I once left my bag in the movie theater and I went back to see if it was there. It wasn't found. Later on that night I get a phone call from somebody who had my bag. I went to get it and the person told me that she took it home because some workers at the theaters can't be trusted because they steal stuff.
I looked in my wallet and everything was still there luckily.
