U2 ::: Product Red, Get It? Ha!

Yes, I've been slacking but you can't fault me, I've been denied the chance to see them live yet again. *grumble* But, hey, what can you do? Keep praying it happens one day before I die. Anyhow, here's another one of those incidentals, something I don't quite know what to think of yet. I guess it could work!

RedOne attributed his success to his upbringing in Morocco, where he had access to a broad range of musical styles particularly because he was one of nine children.

He also said he enjoyed the success and recognition that producing brought, particularly because it came without the trappings of fame. And his biggest wish? To work with U2.

U2 ::: Closer Than You Think

Q Magazine, again, has first dibs on press for the new U2 album due out March 2009. *aherm* In this video, Adam Clayton (the guy I share a birthday with) fills us in on their "first proper photo session" for the next album titled No Line On The Horizon and explains their singer's pro-active approach to the said activity. After all, Bono is the figurehead and people look at photos of him specifically to identify in which era it was taken because, face it, the rest of the guys look the same as the last time. And that's a compliment. But I prefer to think the bowler hat, mascara, and rolled umbrella would be the stylist's tribute to Magritte rather than a cop out to the way of the FOBs and Panic at the Discos. That'll be the day.

Great job to the uber-geek who discovered this clip ahead of schedule! This is a great Christmas treat for all of us who've been waiting for any kind of stirring in the U2 world.

By the way, just a disclaimer: I'm not Scrooged...at all. I guess you could say I'm parlaying :-] but then that would mean what's on the plate now is meh, won't it? No, nothing could be further from the truth. I think my Christmas this year is one of the most meaningful ones I'll ever have and, honestly, most Christ-centered. About time, I know. I'm gonna delight in the love I've been blessed with--God's, my family's, and my roommate's.
